Coral Bay’s Operation Resilience Program includes:

Group Therapy
Outpatient group therapy sessions take place three days per week in person or via telehealth, and provide a supportive environment to share experiences and build connections with fellow Veterans. Groups incorporate both processing and psychoeducational components, with topics that include understanding addiction and mental health issues, relapse prevention for both, and the relationship between substance use and mental health. A special DBT Skills Training Group also helps participants focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. All our groups have a strong emphasis on developing new coping tools and skills.

Family Therapy and Support
Family involvement to educate and support loved ones. Strengthening family dynamics and communication.

Holistic and Experiential Therapies
Incorporation of activities such as meditation, and art therapy. We focus on overall well-being, stress reduction, building coping skills, and resilience.

Aftercare Planning and Support
We work with program attendees in the development of a personalized aftercare plan to maintain recovery post-program. Clients will also have access to ongoing support groups and resources.

Caseload-oriented treatment
Coral Bay offers something that’s unique in the addiction treatment space: Caseload-oriented treatment. Clients in our Operation Resilience program attend group together with the same therapist each time, so everyone gets to know each other, and the therapist gets to know each client, too–maximizing the effectiveness of treatment. At most larger IOPs, clients attend groups on different days, at different times, and with different peers–virtually eliminating the power of group therapy that allows for that “magical” connection that fosters support, insight and growth. Furthermore, our groups are facilitated by Veterans, who have the experience and specialized understanding needed to address the unique concerns of Veterans and First Responders. Meet our team here.

Psychiatric Assessment/Medication Management
For those who need medication management for their co-occurring disorders, our psychiatric nurse practitioner partners are experienced in working with those who struggle with substance abuse. We also provide referrals for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), such as Naltrexone, Vivitrol or Suboxone treatment, on a per-client basis. Our integrative, multi-disciplinary team approach ensures that clients can receive the integrated benefits of both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
